Elsje Fiederelsje is a Dutch folk song about a young girl putting her clogs alongside the fire, while her mother is baking pancakes and complaining about the flour being overly expensive.
Personally, I've never really worn clogs, my dad is much more likely to bake pancakes than my mom has ever been and flour is really quite affordable in the Netherlands these days. However, I am Dutch. That's something. Besides, my name is Else. So there you go.
Oh, nothing in particular. This blog is what happens when I give myself the permission to practice my writing skills in public. I haven't quite found my niche yet, so consider yourself warned for the resulting randomness. To be honest, niches aren't really my thing. I know you need to sell your brand and all of that, but it just so happens that I don't like the idea of having to narrow my sphere of interests all that much. How about we agree that "not having a niche" can be my niche for now. Basically, you can expect anything to appear on here! At any given moment! Right in front of your eyes! Now doesn't that sound terribly exciting?
